How can a senior living facility be designed to ease the transition from a private home to a shared residence? What design components are crucial in providing stability, reassurance, and connection for this specific demographic throughout this shift in lifestyle? Moreover, how can interior design help turn aging into a positive experience?

Thesis Statement

My project explores the relationship between interior design and quality of life by creating spaces that promote physical and mental well-being, alleviate feelings of social isolation, and foster independence. By prioritizing accessibility, comfort, and personalized care, my boutique independent living home will emphasize the importance of a well-designed space and the impact it can have on users. This atmosphere will prompt seniors to embrace this new chapter of life and redefine aging.
